Project 3
Fashion vs slow
2025
FAST vs SLOW: The Future of Fashion is an immersive exhibition proposal exploring the environmental and social impact of fast fashion while promoting more sustainable approaches to clothing and consumption. Located in Kingston upon Thames, the project combines archival research, spatial storytelling, and modular exhibition design to guide visitors through the history of local fashion culture and the future of ethical fashion practices. Inspired by rhythm, movement, and transparency, the exhibition uses curved timber structures, suspended textiles, and layered circulation routes to create an interactive and sensory experience. The modular mortise-and-tenon system allows the exhibition to be flexible, reusable, and adaptable, reflecting the principles of sustainability and slow fashion. Through workshops, installations, garments, and archival materials, the project encourages visitors to rethink their relationship with fashion and consumption.
